1st Sunday of Advent
IMG_4605.JPG

“Come, Lord Jesus, light of the world.”

This Sunday marks the beginning of Advent—a season of hope, expectation, and preparation. As we light the first candle, the Candle of Hope, we are reminded that even in the midst of darkness, God’s promise shines brightly. Advent invites us to pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ, both in the celebration of His birth and in the anticipation of His return.

Let us journey together in faith, watching and waiting with joyful expectation. May this season renew our spirits, strengthen our community, and draw us closer to the One who is our true light.

Prayer for the Week:
Lord, as we begin this Advent season, open our hearts to Your presence. Fill us with hope that sustains, light that guides, and love that transforms. Amen.

Prayer for December

Gracious God,

As December unfolds, we pause in gratitude for the blessings of this year.  In the quiet of winter nights, remind us of Your presence that warms our hearts.  Grant us wisdom to reflect on lessons learned, and courage to embrace what lies ahead.

Bless our families, friends, and communities with peace and joy.

May generosity and kindness be the gifts we share most freely.

In the midst of busyness, help us find stillness to listen for Your guiding voice.

As we await the dawn of a new year,  fill us with hope, renew our strength, and deepen our faith.

Let this season be a time of light, love, and renewal.

Amen.
