A Parishioner's Prayer

A Prayer Warrier

Good Morning ☀️☮️🙏🏾☦️❤️

04 July 2025

Matthew 9:9-13 Jesus saw a man named Matthew* sitting at the customs post. He said to him, “Follow me.” And he got up and followed him. While he was at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat with Jesus and his disciples.  The Pharisees saw this and said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” He heard this and said, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do.  Go and learn the meaning of the words, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.”

Lord Jesus, we give you praise and thanks for not passing by those who are in need,  and desire, to be saved from sin and suffering.  Draw us near to you in heart, mind and spirit and let us hear your call to follow you, the Way, the Truth and the Life, on the path of righteousness and peace.

Lord, forgive us for sins of cruelty, prejudice and neglect of the poor, outcast and forgotten; and bless us with Grace to follow you in showing mercy, forgiveness and love to all.

Psalm 106:4-5 Remember me, Lord, as you favor your people;

come to me with your saving help, that I may see the prosperity of your chosen ones.

In the Name of the Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit. Amen.

Empowered by The Holy Spirit and God’s Holy Word.
